Advocacy
Our advocacy is accomplished through the Governmental Affairs Committee, who diligently monitors current and upcoming legislation and policies impacting our community. Through this process they create and champion a legislative agenda, that is approved by the chamber board. We actively engage with regional and state chamber partners through the Quad State Alliance. As collaborators we maintain our independent stance on policies, ensuring that our legislative agenda always serve the best interests of our members and bolsters our local economy. We are an organization dedicated to championing the prosperity of our local economy and businesses.
Promotion
As a chamber member you receive many avenues of promotion. We are most well known for ribbon cuttings, which are offered to new members and existing members celebrating anniversaries or other accomplishments. Members receive a listing in our online and print directory which receives tens of thousands of views a year. Referrals, our staff only refers chamber members when called or asked. We leverage our social media platforms to promote our members and the business community. Finally, we offer paid advertising opportunities including website ads and email blasts.
Connections
Through many different networking events you can make meaningful connections and network with potential business contacts. An evening mixer is hosted once a month and provides 100-150 attendees who are all looking to accomplish the same goal, make new connections. AM and PM exchanges are hosted at least once a month and provide a more intimate networking opportunity in a structured and low-pressure environment. Educational and volunteer opportunities also function as opportunities to make meaningful connections through chamber involvement.
Workforce Development
Retaining and recruiting qualified employees is a vital piece of sustaining a successful organization, while being a time intensive task. Members gain access to our job bank and employee resumes. Through posting job openings or looking through the resumes potential employees have submitted we are committed to helping business owners find qualified talent. Along with the job bank, we have relationships with community education partners to provide opportunities for employees to gain skills and experience.
